The 5th grade at Eagle Bay did their wax museum last Friday, and two guesses as to which "historical figure" Brynn was assigned to represent. Yep, there's a reason "historical figure" is in quotes. Harriet Tubman? Nope. Marie Curie? Nope.
Look what a cute Shirley Temple she makes. She did all of the work on that board by herself. One of the great things about Brynn is that she is very self motivated and will just go to town and take care of huge assignments all by herself. She's done this for years, and it's kind of amazing, actually.
Last night I took the kids who ate their dinner to DQ for Blizzards (we are not above bribery,) and the girls were sitting in the back chatting. Can I just say that one of the best things about driving kids around is eavesdropping on their conversations?
Brynn and Alex were talking about how they didn't want to date in high school because then their boyfriends would go on missions, and they might come back different, and maybe they wouldn't like them, etc. You can probably imagine that this is a theory I support wholeheartedly. Well, Alex holds up one finger and says, "They leave on their mission a boy, but then return a man!!" And as she says this very dramatically, she swoops her finger upside down to become a full hand she is now holding up. I laughed so hard I almost crashed. That child is one of a kind.
